1987 Birth of the Pyramid Page 1

Tr
The Pyramid was one of the first things I built when
I went to work for Powell-Peralta Skateboards in 1987.
It was originally a glitzy fortune telling booth for a trade show.
Seated inside was the company's mascot/logo model skeleton.
When you looked in the eyehole, and pressed the button, the dark
interior flashed with strobe lights as the skeleton's arm moved up
displaying a handful of cards, seven cards made of hard rock maple,
the seven plys of Powell's skateboards.
